Bible Study for Lent “Preparing Our Hearts for Easter!” Lent. Christians have used the six weeks leading up to Easter as a special time of spiritual reflection and growth. It is a time of renewal and a time to prepare our hearts for Easter and living as people of the Resurrection. Come, let’s journey together as we explore the story of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. Come, let’s prepare our hearts for Jesus to live in us! Focus Scripture: “Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” – 1 Corinthians 15:57 Week One: Do you know the hymn, “I Love to Tell the Story?” We are continuing to “tell the Jesus’ story,” this Lent. How do we prepare our hearts for Jesus’ death and resurrection? We live into His story! We immerse ourselves in the Bible so that we know the story in our own lives. So, what’s YOUR story? How has Jesus made a difference in your life? What part of Jesus’ story do you most identify with? What has touched your heart over and over again? Take the time to share your story this week. Write it down, blog it, e-mail it, tell your friends and family, call someone on the phone and share your story with them! Let’s look at Jesus’ story so we can get to know Him better!
